To diagnose the CTD-ILD generally a physical examination following blood test and CAT scan is done but in cases to identify the type of CTD a patient is referred to a rheumatologist for additional testings.

In cases, medication is given to the patient to slow down the progress of the disease. But if the case is severe then the surgery is carried out to avoid the damage and provide relief to the patient.
